About the Event

The Wardrobe presents: SPACE

By Frankie Thompson

Directed by Luke Howarth

Mentored by Thick & Tight

Commissioned by Drunken Chorus

After two sold out performances at The Place and Camden People’s Theatre in 2019, SPACE is back! A magical multimedia miniature circus spiralling through scale, perspective and place.

SPACE has been commissioned by Drunken Chorus for A Bit OF A Do festival. Supported by The Wardrobe

Frankie Thompson is an acclaimed clown and interdisciplinary artist. Her work explores her ongoing battle with mental illnesses, including anorexia and its resultant chronic conditions. She has just returned from a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 with her one-woman adaptation of Cats The Musical, CAttS, produced by Soho Theatre.

The Wardrobe is a tiny portable ‘west-end’ theatre built inside a real life Wardrobe. It’s a neurodivergent-led collective of associate artists making and supporting bold, diverse, inclusive, community minded work in non-traditional performance settings for audiences and artists for whom traditional arts spaces are not necessarily accessible. The Wardrobe is supported by Arts Council England and Camden People’s Theatre.
